Recognizing the complexity of Halo’s design early in the process, a 1/8-scale prototype was fabricated to test construction methods. This proof of concept ensured the feasibility of the full-scale sculpture, validating the innovative fabrication techniques required for its success.
The Halo prototype was instrumental in refining the fabrication process, ensuring the sculpture’s seamless integration into the Baylor Scott & White Irving Medical Center lobby, enhancing its iconic presence.
