This 116,000-square-foot facility serves as a vital gateway and connector between Eastfield Community College and its surrounding community. Strategically positioned along a primary pedestrian path, the building redefines the campus’s central entry, fostering seamless integration of academic and community functions. The design consolidates diverse program spaces—including a welcome center, advising and transfer center, career services, wellness center, veteran division, educational partnerships, testing center, admissions, financial aid, and business office—into a cohesive, accessible hub. Gabriel's predominant role on the project was to document all aspects of the exterior design for cost estimations and construction. 

• Gateway Identity: Expansive glazing at the main entry enhances visibility through the building to the campus beyond, reinforcing its role as a connector between college and community.
• Community Engagement: A semi-enclosed front lawn serves as a beacon for educational access, offering a flexible space for student, faculty, and community interaction.
• Multipurpose Event Space: Connected by a folding glass partition, the event space extends to the front lawn, supporting dynamic academic and community activities.

The Eastfield Community College Gateway Facility reimagines the campus as an inclusive, vibrant hub. By blending strategic design with community-focused spaces, it strengthens connections between the college and Eastfield, serving as a landmark for education and engagement.
