This impressive 116,000-square-foot facility serves as both a gateway and connector between the college and the community of Eastfield. It will allow the Community College to provide a consolidated space for instructional, student life, student services, and community outreach. Once built, the building will feature a comprehensive range of program spaces, including a welcome center, advising and transfer center, career services, wellness center, veteran division, educational partnerships, testing center, admissions, financial aid, and a business office.

By occupying a prominent position on a main pedestrian path, the building creates a unique gateway by reframing the central entry of the campus. The strategic use of glazing at the main entry space provides visibility through the building and to the campus beyond, further emphasizing the building's role as both a connector between the college and the community.

The semi-enclosed front lawn space provides an opportunity for community involvement with the campus while serving as a beacon for educational access in the surrounding community. The front lawn is open to students, faculty, and the community and functions as an area for the multipurpose event space, which is connected through a folding glass partition to further enhance academic and community activities.
